This policy explains how Ji4 uses cookies and similar technologies on the Ji4 marketing website at www.ji4.io, including the optional analytics cookies you can accept or reject below.
1. The short version
The Ji4 marketing website shows a cookie banner because it uses optional analytics and site-improvement cookies: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity. These only run if you accept them.
Cloudflare Web Analytics, our baseline traffic tool, does not use cookies or browser storage, so it runs regardless of your choice.
The website also stores a limited functional preference in your browser, described below.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device through your browser.
Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage and other browser storage mechanisms that let a website remember information or settings.
This policy covers both cookies and similar browser technologies.

Google Tag Manager itself does not set a cookie: it loads and manages the Google Analytics tag above. The Google and Microsoft cookie names and durations shown here are those providers' own published defaults; we will re-verify them against live traffic once these tools are switched on.
4. Theme preference
The website stores your light or dark mode preference in your browser under the key theme, using localStorage.
It is only created after you change the theme using the toggle in the site header, not on your first visit.
This preference stays on your device, is not transmitted to Ji4, and contains no personal data. It cannot be used to identify or track you.
5. Analytics and site-improvement cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate use of the Ji4 marketing website, such as page views, referring websites and general traffic trends. It is configured to run without placing cookies on your device or using localStorage for persistent tracking, and it is not used by Ji4 to track you across other websites or to build an individual advertising profile.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the website and to improve it. Google Analytics reports aggregate page views and events. Microsoft Clarity may record how visitors interact with pages, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, to help us see where people get stuck. Microsoft Clarity masks certain input fields by default; we have not yet independently verified this website's specific masking configuration, so avoid entering sensitive information into any form field if this is a concern.
Google Tag Manager itself does not collect data. It is a delivery mechanism that loads the Google Analytics tag described above.

6. Infrastructure and security technologies
The website is delivered and protected using infrastructure and security services provided by Cloudflare. These services may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, request headers and security signals, to deliver the website, prevent abuse and protect the service.
7. What we do not use
We do not run our own advertising campaigns, use behavioural advertising cookies, or run dedicated social media tracking pixels, such as a Meta or LinkedIn pixel, on the Ji4 marketing website.
We do not use information from your visit to the Ji4 marketing website to build an advertising profile of you or to track your activity across unrelated websites for advertising purposes.
Microsoft Clarity, one of the analytics tools described above, sets a cookie called MUID that is also used more broadly by Microsoft's own advertising systems on Microsoft-affiliated sites. This is part of Clarity's default configuration; we disclose it here rather than describing Clarity as unconnected to advertising.
8. Embedded and third-party content
The Ji4 marketing website does not currently embed third-party content, such as videos, scheduling widgets, chat widgets or maps, that sets cookies through the page.
9. The Ji4 application is separate
This Cookie Policy applies to the public Ji4 marketing website at www.ji4.io.
The authenticated Ji4 application at ji4.app uses cookies and similar technologies required to provide, secure and operate user accounts and application sessions.
10. Your browser controls
You can view, block and delete cookies or browser storage through your browser settings.
Blocking or deleting strictly necessary storage may prevent parts of a website or application from working correctly. Deleting the Ji4 theme preference will reset the website to its default appearance.
You can change your analytics cookie choice at any time using the control below.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the technologies used by the website change or if legal and regulatory requirements change.
If we introduce further non-essential cookies or similar technologies that require consent, we will update this policy and request consent before using them where required by law.
The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated.
